Personal Experiences
- Paranormal Investigator
- Description
As a biologist I have always been fascinated with the study of life, human or otherwise, and what makes us tick. After graduating college I started work in human clinical trials and pharmaceutical research and have been working in this field for over 8 years. My job requires I focus intently on all the data I review and look for the missing pieces while ensuring all safety and efficacy data has been reported to the drug manufacturer appropriately and by federal standards. Naturally, what lives eventually dies and my interest in the living also carries over to the deceased and what happens from that point on. Like most, I am curious if there is an after life and whether or not I'll be able to come back and visit those I've left behind in the land of the living. I too believe the time has come for the science of studying the paranormal to be just that, a science with scientific measures taken to validate or to debunk activity believed to be spiritual in nature. I am fortunate that my husband Jeff shares in this belief and is also curious about this field of study.
- Your experiences
Interestingly enough most of my experiences have occurred at my grandmother's house. This house is a one floor ranch that has had many additions over the years prior to my grandparents purchasing the property. The property also sits about a quarter of a mile from the rail road tracks and what used to be a very busy train depot back in the day. I've been a witness to two apparitions when staying at her house, I believe one to be the man who used to own the property and the other I know to be my grandmother's Aunt who visited me in the middle of the night just a few minutes after her death. My mother still lives in this house with my grandfather and she has had numerous events over the years since my grandmother passed away, most notably items that will disappear for a period of time and then reappear in a completely different place from where they normally would have been.
Additionally, my grandparents own a three-story downtown building that is around 200 years old. Right before I was born there was an arson in the upstairs (the 2nd and 3rd story were used as a hotel at the time) and a gentleman perished in the fire. My mom continues to run the family business but only the first floor is used. Often you can hear footsteps and furniture scooting across the floor from the upstairs, when we've gone up to check things out there is no one there. A repair man was working in the basement of the building on a condensor and saw an apparition of a man watching him work, perhaps this is the man who was killed in the fire? I'm not sure but I would definitely like to find out!
